Question type: Maintenance & Repair

If all of the freon wasnt removed what
damage can this cause and will my AC work
now? What do i need to do to fix this
problem?I have a brand new compressor in
but when the car started I was told the

to square one.

When the freon (refrigerant) gets to a predetermined low point the compressor should not come on,....and that keep you from damaging the compressor. A leaking hose will loose pressure and the A/C will not work. so you probably need a new hose.

When I turn the temp control unit from a/c to heat it doesn't work on my 1976 eldorado barritz. I hear the a/c compressor running constantly.
