Question type: Maintenance & Repair

when im stopping at a red light or stop sign. my; special edition; sentra feels like the brake releases itself for a second then brakes again, and finally comes to a complete stop. or as if the transmission jerks while its about to fully slow down.

I took it to the dealer. the mechanics looked at it.. drove it. checked my brakes. tire pressure and idk what other bs.and said that the car was fine. they didn't feel a problem. so I took it home its been a month and I still feel that lil jerk. not a big problem but its there. and I don't want it to later on bite me in the ass...

Did the car loose some brake fluid? Is it really the brakes that are jerking? Could it be a misfire?

no the dealer checked the brake fluid. it feels more to me like the transmission is releasing itself for a second before coming to a stop. so it feels like the brake doesn't work for a quick second. even tho I'm still pressing on it...

Brakes and transmission are not really related. Your transmission could be slipping while downshifting but it's unlikely. Did the dealer looked at the brake booster to find leaks or malfunction? Does the brake pedal feels even/equal when it happens?

My 2015 Nissan Sentra SV at 14,000 miles does the same thing. Took it back to dealership...they thoughly looked over...they say its because it has a CVT . Go figure.
