radio lights flicker when stepping on brake

car radio screen flickers when i step on brake. (it flickers between bright and
dim night mode). it also does not pick up any am stations. all fm stations
working fine. so far i havent seen any other problems. what could cause this?
its stock radio without navigation.

Precursor to more electrical problems. It’s an 11 year old KIA better be looking for another vehicle before this one becomes a years ornament. Look for something NOT on the “Do Not Buy” list.
