Left driver side turn signal

Asked by Larissa Mar 28, 2022 at 12:37 AM about the 2011 Jeep Liberty Limited 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My left driver side turn signal works sometimes but other
times it won't. It started blinking fast indicating the bulb
was blown. I replaced the bulb. But it still blinks fast
sometimes and other times it blinks and works normal.

First make sure you have the correct bulb in the socket. Then put the turn signal on and move the bulb around in the socket. Also move the wires going to the socket around. If it starts working the socket is bad. You can get a new one at your local auto parts store. Hope that helps! Jim

It could also indicate your relay is going bad. Easy to replace and cheap. Ask your parts store to identify the location and type,

I'm thinking a turn signal switch contact problem but just be aware that the BCM now controls the turn signal systems so if the wiring, sockets, grounds and the switch all test good it could be program glitch, if that is the case then the BCM will need a reflash from the dealer or a shop that has that capability.
