Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Just as is stated above, what is the"dealer rating " ?. If the potential dealer where I'm
thinking of buying has  2 1/2 star rating, is that bad ?, what does it mean ?

It is an average rating of what other consumers have given the dealer. I would read the individual comments about the dealer and go from there. Even a 4 star dealer should be treated with suspect. Let the buyer beware but if there is a salesperson mentioned in a good rating then go the Dealership and ask for this person. Good luck

Like any rating on any website, they're are only credible if there are enough reviews to make them legitimate. If a dealer gets just 2 really good (or really poor) reviews, then they're pretty much meaningless. How many reviews does it take? Don't have the answer to that question, but the whole ratings thing is suspect, anyways. Someone could have it in for their competitor, and gets their friends, family and employees to post a bunch of bad reviews. On the other hand, there are companies out there that can be hired to post good reviews for you. I guess the answer is to ignore the Internet and talk to actual people that have done business with a particular dealership.
