6 speed transmission? (6R80)? I was having shifting problems with my 2010 at 38K miles. Fortunately had extended warranty. Have idiot codes checked, even without a light. My truck had no light but had code P1705 internal. The result was a contamination build up on range sensor. Transmission needed valve body replaced. Solenoids cannot be serviced separate from valve body therefore needed to be replaced. Valve body 1200 bucks. Labor 600 bucks. Trans fluid and filter and it added up to 2000 bucks. Tech recommended, although Ford recommends fluid and filter change every 100K or so miles, change fluid every 30K with a filter change every other fluid change.
