I have a 1990 Cadillac Deville I put in a new battery and it wont start no power no headlights no clicking to start nothing at all. It was sitting for a few years before I got it so I started with changing the battery but I cant get it started. If anyone has any ideas please let me know thanks.

does it crank over or you turn key and nothing. check your grounds. chassis to motor. battery to chassis. even though its a 'new' battery does it have any voltage.

I turn the key and get nothing, I will take a look at the grounds and see what I find. Thanks

Did you check for evidence of rodents living in it while parked and chewing on the wires I'm rewiring a 1996 daville that's rats chewed the wiring all to hell

YOU HAVE 2 GROUNDS ON THE BATTERY FOR GROUND . SOME TIME S ONE GROUND IS FORGOTTEN, ONLY THE DASH WILL LIGHT UP. LOOK FOR A SECOND GROUND UNDER THE BATTERY TRAY.

I have a 1990 sedan deville..right in back of battery there is a connection,have no idea for what.its a four prong connection,..it runs sometimes when motor is off..told to unplug when motor is off to stop battery discharge...but not to drive with it unplugged..does anyone know what this is for??
