My truck is still over heating after I was told my egr
cooler was out so I changed it nd my water pump
and thermostat and flushed radiator and it heats
up fairly fast!faster than b4!!the temperature use 2
fluctuate up and dwn but since I changed all that it
got worse in a hurry

By purge if you mean bleed all the air out I did open the bleeder valve ran it out til I had a steady flow and then closed it back up and filled to top and did 1 mor time
Yea but you have to run the vehicle to get it all out and circulated threw the heater core. Heat needs to be set on hot on the climate control. Watch the video.
It should show up with a cylinder compression test. White smoke coming out the exhaust, oil level rising in the engine, engine overheating are some other signs of a blown head gasket.
