the heat is not coming on in my truck i do need a oil change and new air filter is that 's why the heat not working

Asked by blackzo Nov 11, 2015 at 10:45 AM about the 2011 Dodge Journey Mainstreet FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

need to fix

No. Oil change and air filter have nothing whatsoever to do with heat. It could be so many things from no water (coolant) getting to heater core, to thermostat in engine not allowing engine to heat up. I don't know if the Dodge Journey has a valve that shuts on and off to run water through core, That is what to check first, if you have flow through heater core .... or do you mean the blower does not work?
