Question type: Maintenance & Repair

hello i have a 2011 Durango and it's giving me a hard time starting. When i try and
start the Durango and it seen to start up and then starts to sound like it's about to
shut off after 3-7seconds it dose shut off. & when i try and start it again it keeps it’s
keeps doing the same thing over and over, until it finally turns on completely. It sounds
like I am out of gas and it’s struggling to stay on but I always have a full tank. I took it
to the dealership and one of the guy told me it needs software updates. But before that
I took it in a year prior and another guy told me it was something to do with the fuel
injection. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be or any suggestion on what I
should do.  (as for me I don’t know anything about fixing cars\suvs)

I think you need to check your fuel pressure, fuel pump may be weak or bad pressure regulator.Check for fire at a plug,if it is there then, you know where to look.

What is a TIPM? I am having a similar issue. Car turns on and tries to start but won't. This happens sporadically. I can go weeks and it won't happen. I tried jumping battery...wouldn't start. I tried pumping gas peddle...wouldn't work. Sometimes these two things work: I get out of car. Hit lock button a time or two...starts right up or I will turn car on but not try to start it and wait a few seconds to a few minutes and then turn it off and back on with start...starts right up. Dealership said no code was showing and they don't know because it didn't do it for them. Had someone clean out the CO2 throttle system (??). Didn't happen again for two weeks. Had another shop look at it. They think maybe the alarm system (my computer system thinks my car is stolen?) or maybe the chip in the key is not being recognized at times. I have a 2012 Durango with about 74k miles on it.
