My check engine light just came on for the 3rd time. I've had the oil pressure
sensor changed twice already.....Light came on again and now they say it must
be something more......it is still under warranty for for the sensor they put in.
Anyone have any insight?

BTW 1st light came on at 80K...sensor was replaced. 2nd light cam on about 88K....sensor was replaced. 3rd light came on at 92K......taking into shop today. Should still be under warranty.
Does the lite only come on when stopped? How many miles on this engine? The oil pump speeds up and slows down with the rpms. Does the lite go out when you speed up? I've seen high-mileage engines do that. Have you checked applicable trouble codes? There are codes for eop/engine oil pressure. You might be able to use an analog gage in place of the op sensor and check actual oil pressure. The generic spec that I have is, warm engine--min--10 psi for every 1k rpms. The info below gives you some code info and circuit description.
The light is on all the time The oil gauge pressure increase to just under 40 when driving ....and it drops down to under 20 when idling...... I currently have 92K...... 1st light came on at 80K...sensor was replaced (code PO521). 2nd light cam on about 88K....sensor was replaced. 3rd light came on at 92K......taking into shop today. Should still be under warranty. They seemed to think it's something more.
Our 2011 Chevy Silverado would only carry 20 psi at any given time. We changed the oil pressure sensor and the screen and it still only carried 20 psi. So then we changed the o-ring on the oil pick up tube and the oil pressure is now 20 psi when idling and 35-45 when running. Hopefully, this fixes our problem.
