Got a 2011 dodge avenger with 150k 3.6 engine , oil light comes on and goes back out, oil and filter were replaced , could it be they put thewrong oil or filter , i told them to put full syntetic oil

oil light comes and goes at sometimes , oil was replaced a week ago could it be
they put the wrong  synthetic oil i told them to use the highmileage oil and the
filter was replaced , maybe they use a cheap filter i wonder. light comes on for a
few seconds and goes off for few 5 or 10 minutes , what do you think ?/ i am a
veteran and this things get into my head , making me nervous ..

Hopefully, the oil light only comes on at idle after the engine is warmed up. Check the oil level first be verify it is full on the dipstick. You may need a thicker oil. You didn't specify the viscosity (5W30, 10W40, etc.) A thicker oil may be required. You may also try some STP oil treatment. This could help with a high mileage engine.

i believe they used 5w20 that is on the oil drop cover tap from factory also the car uses 85 ethanol gas , the oil stick marks full but is very a very light transparent oil. Thank you for taking the time with these old vietnam vet.GB.

You might need to use convencial oil 5 w 20. After 75 thousand miles dodge uses convencial oil.
