2011 Chrysler 200 Touring Convertible top won't go up.

Asked by Dawgtiredgroomr Oct 22, 2018 at 03:40 PM about the 2011 Chrysler 200 Touring Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is There a way to do it manually and please don't say try the switch inside
the car...  5 times up in 2 seconds and then hold for no less than 2 minutes.
We have tried and it didn't work. I am so frustrated!!!! We have checked
fuses and everything is fine there. The key fob works fine and that is how we
got the top down was with the keyfob, but it won't go back up with the switch
inside the car and Stupid Chrysler wasn't smart enough to make it where you
could raise the roof with the keyfob.  We replaced the switch inside the car
thinking it was it, but no luck.  It is getting cold here and not pleasant to drive
it with the top down.

This happened to my car and it was a 5 minute fix. The knob that controls the latches was stuck. Take the upper panel behind the mirrors off. There is a "star" knob in the middle. Turn it to the right until it clicks. It will restart the closing cycle and everything will work fine.

Guru2J3ZH, I am having this exact problem right now. The trunk lid works but the top only moves a few inches. If I try to lift it the passenger side seems free but the drivers side seems locked. Yesterday when I lifted the passenger side something popped and the roof then raised for me. But that's not working today. If you found a solution, please help!
