is it normal to have an oil leak for a brandnew car with 7000 miles on it?? is it consider factory defect, and can the dealer change my car???

it's brand new so it still has warranty. have it checked. it's probably coming from the block because it's not sealed properly.might be a factory defect or probably the engine stress and vibration. and dont put too much engine oil..the best is the 500-600ml limit..

If the repair was recent and the oil residue was not cleaned/steamed from the engine compartment this could be residual oil. Check the motor oil level on the next few days to see if it is lower. Inform the dealer's shop of the situation and let them know what is happening and what you are doing. If you feel uncertain then take it back and let them check it out again. Oil travels well on engine,car surfaces and it can difficult to spot the source of the leak. A little oil goes a long way as well. By the way, no it is not normal for a car of any age tohave an oil leak at any mileage; under warranty is is a factory defect and as far as a change of car, the laws in your state may have specifics under the Lemon Law.
