NO START

Sounds like a bad fuel pump. You should try and replace the fuel filter first, may be clogged up. Then you can check the fuel pressure to verify if it still won't start.

Friend won't like that. The darn coil pack was 50. The lack of an oil change caused the oil pressure switch to go. Another 40. Now a fuel filter and pump. She had no acceleration problem except running on four cylinders since January. She added oil then car won't start. But agree it's fuel related.

Sounds like this car has not ben taken care of, so definitely at leas change out the fuel filter, may get lucky. Then if it does not start you could check the fuel pressure to at least know if the pump is bad or not. Also a thing to check is to pull the vacuum line off of the fuel regulator to see if there is gas coming threw the regulator.

You are right on the care. Bought used and the dealership slogan is "buying a car do sent have to suck". That creeps me out. Anyway. December she lost her alternator. That almost killed her having those guys fix it. However she wanted everything fixed but she still had a light. A few weeks later I read codes and found Cylinder 3 not firing. 60 dollar part. She just got that money. However Sunday car dies before installing new coil pack. So I get coil and install it. Still no start, check codes and now have oil pressure code. Looked at the sticker.... yea 5000 miles over. Change oil and sensor. Another 40 dollars. Still no start. I guess I will get a filter now. Which type of filter is this? Meaning how is it connected to the fuel line? Clamps, compression fittings, or the annoying clips?

This is interesting, when looking up a fuel filter or a fuel strainer for this, there are none listed. I would think if there is a fuel filter on there that it would be in-line and clamped on with rubber hoses. Still say to check the fuel pressure, more than likely it has a bad fuel pump.
