07 FORD TAURUS is not charging & the battery light is off. Key on battery test & light on.

Check the positive side of the battery and make sure there is no corrosion and the wire going from the battery and alternator is secure, I would also check the ground from the battery to the chassis. The single wire on the back of the alternator is what charges the battery, could be a small plug or a rubber cover, usually red to signify "HOT" or power. Make sure it's charging around 13 volts.

Yes, what’s unusual is the charge indicator light does not show not charging though a search shows this may be normal for Fords like Taurus! Only about 41k miles though it has the daytime running lights.
