1684 - means the battery was disconnected
P0700 CHRYSLER - Transaxle Control System Malfunction --- The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

first check battery and alternator. if the battery or alternator is weak the signal to { ECM} will trigger po700 code.
2002 Intrepid 3.5...220,000 km. Battery light came on this morning and battery died about 15 min later. Various trouble lights flashing on and off and tranny stuck in 2nd while lights and voltage were going south. Had car towed to shop....alternator replaced but still have check engine light and PO700 code. Tranny all ok, so I expect CE light will self extingush after three good cycles
