Should I keep fixing my 2000 BMW 323ci (170.000 miles) or buy another vehicle?

Asked by judyamcnutt Apr 28, 2015 at 01:21 AM about the 2000 BMW 3 Series 323Ci Coupe RWD

Question type: General

My convertible 3 series has been a good car. Thing I like best is driving with the top down
but now the top "gets stuck" and I am afraid to put the top down for fear I might get stuck
somewhere. We tried the simple harness fix but that only lasted a little while. My question:
Should I keep fixing my 2000 BMW 323ci (170.000 miles) or buy another vehicle?

Thank you. That's exactly the same conclusion I reached. AT least with this one, I know what I have fixed and precisely how it has been maintained. Everything else (i.e.: another used car) is a crapshoot!
