What needs resetting and how to reset ..engine sounds as if it is not getting fuel

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2004 330Ci BMW that I just had a battery replaced by AAA. Now with the new battery it sounds as if it is running on fumes or not getting correct amount of gas to engine. Will driving it a bit reset everything or does it need a code or disconnect and reconnect ? .

You are correct. Replacing the battery will allow the engine computer to lose it's memory for things like idle speed, shift points, etcetera. Allow your car to relearn these things after several drive cycles and it should be okay. I have actual seen engines run better after a disconnect or a code reset.
