2006 BMW 330cic won't crank at all. Battery was taken to auto parts store and it is fully charged. What could it be?

When I try to crank the car, I only hear the fuel pump turn on and air
circulate under the hood. But no cranking sound from the stater. Lights
light up but not cranking sound.
