What type of oil and spark plugs does the 2000 3.8 6cyl take?

Name brand 5w30 oil, we used quaker state at the Ford garage. The plug info is listed on the CAFE regulation decal, or tune up sticker under the hood. it also gives some specs and the plug gap. Motorcraft is the best.

Dannyl is right, use 5w30, or 5w20, that engine has close tolerances, A stock V6 1999-2004 Mustang spark plug is gapped to.054 inches. hope this helps....P.S. Look into a supercharger, the V6 in the taurus comes out of the factory with 365 hp's
