So I have a 2001 Mustang GT, whenever I go to start it, I have to hold the key until it actually starts. Now I think I just need a new starter but I want to see what you guys think.

Not sure what you are saying... hold the key on until it cranks over, or hold the key in the crank position and have the motor crank over and over until it finally starts. - like a motor out of fuel

Yeah until it cranks over, I have to hold the key and it usually takes about 2-4 seconds before it does start.
