2003 Mustang convertible, power top motor works/runs, but top won't go up or down. Where shall I start looking? Does this need compressor type fluid?

It may be the switch, when you try to put it down and hit the button does it make any sound at all? Like it wants to go back or does it just sit there.

Aloha and mahalo for taking the time. The switch is new. The "motor" makes a sound, but it seems there is no power for it to come down.I had to help pull it up some time ago.It seemed to get a little slow at first, and makes noise, moves a very little, but with no power. Thanks Rod

Okay, yeah it sounds like it might be the motor. That or the wiring to the motor might be lose or needing replacing.
