Transmission not shifting out of first gear

I've got the exact same problem with what it looks like the same car. I haven't ran any codes but it was shifting normal until about a couple weeks ago. I sent off to Rock Auto for the shift solenoid and got it yesterday. Your text doesn't give me much hope it will fix my problem. My Sebring Limited is dark blue but has been the biggest lemon I've ever had.

Have codes read first, that will start you off in were to start. It sounds like the shift solenoid but it could be your emission system as well. start with the codes and go from there. If you need help with the codes... post here and I can give you more detailed means as were to look for your issue.

I have a 2006 Sebring Chrysler, first the battery started dying then it stall and won’t shift now.

I have a 2008 chrysler sebring that is doing the same thing. I bought it and it was fun then out of the blue my car did something weird and then just stopped shifting. This is my first car and I'm just really hoping that its not a transmission issue. If anyone figures out whats going on with them it'd be greatly appreciated if it was posted here.

I have Chrysler Sebring 2008, few months ago it stop changing beyond second gear. Please has anyone got any solution to solve this.
