2003 concorde 3.5 overheating
Hello guys, i got this 03 chrysler 3.5 that i
got for free. The car runs fine but
overheats. It has no thermostat but their is
no coolant flowing through the radiator
wich is brand new. I know there is no flow
because the upper hose is at ambient
temp while the lower hose is so hot you
cant touch it. But i am able to have water
go through the engine with my garden
hose at it will run for days with temp gauge
reading below half. I have just recently
removed the waterpump thinking that was
the promblem the its in good shape. Also
put water through the upper and lower
hose with the garden hose to make sure
the pasages to the water pump wernt
clogged wich were not. I have no idea what
the hell is wrong with this car but with the
cooling system full, the temp will rise non
stop until i shut the car off. At that point
the resovoir is boiling over. I dont belive
their is a bad head or head gasket as the
oil is pretty old and it does not have any
water in the oil. Any ideas, could it just be
air in the system. Also with even the temp
over half of gauge, i get no heater in the
car.
