Get a second or even a third opinion from different BMW specialists. It could be the difference between wasting money and getting value for money.

I have 2011 535i xdrive, and I lost my engine all of the sudden on the highway, and I was told by my mechanic it was due to oil pump failure. No messages given and there was nothing wrong with my car. The car went by itself from Drive to Neutral and was never able to turn the engine on after that. It ceased. The car has 103k miles on it. Is there any thing I can do against BMW company due to their poor design and no warning? This can be life threatening situation if your car stalls in deserted areas with no prior warnings about something going wrong with your car.
