Fuel injectors

Asked by Rick Feb 24, 2018 at 08:28 PM about the 2003 Volkswagen Passat GLX 4Motion

Question type: Car Customization

In order to get more power can I simply just
install bigger injectors on my 2003
Volkswagen Passat 2.8 30 valve without
changing fuel pump?  I already have intake
system and exhaust by the way!

i hate to say it but installing larger fuel injectors should only be done when forced induction is in place (turbo or supercharger). if your fuel to air ratio is off bc pumping for fuel than air into your engine it will run rich. and that will actually hurt performance. plus if u do install bigger injectors ud almost always have to install a better performing pump. a stock pump will not be able to provide enough flow the new injectors would need. best thing is stock injectors for a stock system.
