Interior lighting
It's not the "room" fuse. It's not a
mispressed or nonpressed
button. It's the same problem the
2007 models had which was
remedied by replacement of a
diode located behind a panel near
driver's left foot. My 2011
Sorento has absolutely no
working lights inside. Move the
switches to any position and
nothing. Doors closed or open
makes no difference. No vanity
lights in visors. No map lights in
front center L/R. No main/center
or no rear center @tailgate. No
bottom doors. One night back in
2014 I left the front/left/center
map light on (pushed on) my
battery dead next day. Jumped it
off easily and all interior lights
never worked since. Not long
after my battery had to be
replaced even though only 3 years
old. Soon I was having radio
problems. It started turning itself
off and would repower itself back
on within seconds. It has steadily
gotten worse and today it will light
itself up letting me know it's still
kicking once every couple weeks.
The newest issue is the ability to
reach down grabbing the gear
shifter, key off, or key not even in
switch, no foot on brake and pull
her down into any gear. That's
right, the biggest safety
implementation since the seatbelt
just up and stopped working a
few months back. What's next to
go out ? Headlights at night ?
Spark on odd numbered cylinders
?
I'm leaning bad wiring harness or
short to ground but which circuit
would affect all my problems ?
I'm not bad with a wrench, test
light, multimeter, and everything in
between up to a cherry picker.
99% chance my issues are
resolved 3 years ago if I could find
somewhere a complete wiring
diagram.
Anybody have any good
guesses ? (Save the fuse/relay
checks including the ROOM fuse)
Thanks
