There's a cheap piece of plastic that links the handle to the latch. Its a white piece of plastic about the size and shape of the metal on a pencil. The only way to fix it is to remove all the inside plastic and window and the outside handle. You will need to look up procedure online its quite a complex operation for such a simple piece. But none the less it is what needs done.
