2001 sebring 2.7 has coolant boiling in the reservoir tank, temperature gauge at normal running position...in the middle. Car runs smooth with no engine noise and no water in oil???

I have that exact problem also , but believe me the temperture gauge will eventually go to Hot . I have a 2002 Sebring 2.7 engine also. so tell me what happened ? I luckily made it home after work today .hopefully its just the thermostat or a hose or two and not the water pump.

It's prob your pressure cap on your overflow

Had same problem, look at reservoir cap and rubber was torned got a new one ,all good. easy fix. Thanks!
