my drivers side window goes down fine but halfway up it jumps

Hello! It sounds like it could be a few things. The motor going out will cause a stutter of the window being "rolled" up as the gears have been worn down over the last 15 years. The other options are that the glass might be off the window track slightly, or mechanical piece in the door may have come loose causing the malfunction. I would remove the door panel and observe the window in operation to determine the problem! I hope this helps and best of luck!
