The battery gauge does not dip when trying to start it. I removed battery and removed 175 amp mega fuse and did a ohm check which was 26 ohms which should be good. Any other ideas? Thanks.

Thanks Jim. I tried shorting out the starter and it does spin but bendix did not engage. I will put in a new starter this week and see if that works.
It may be your starter solenoid, not the starter itself. If you feel better going all new, do it. You may want to make sure the connection to the starter to the battery is good, and the ground also.
Hello and thanks for the answer. Yes, with 315,000 KM on it I will change out the whole starter. If it is just a bad connection, so be it. Time for a new starter anyways.
