You don't mention which engine you have, but if it is the 2.7L V-6, longevity will depend greatly on how you and the previous owner took care of oil changes. These engines use a hydraulic timing belt tensioner which, if oil changes are not performed at 3,000 mile intervals, will gunk up and cause the timing belt to slack, allowing pistons to hit valves and junking your engine. Keep up with the oil changes and get a new timing belt at 100k miles and you will go a long time. The flickering panel lights could be caused by a bad ground connection, a PCM problem, or a bad dash cluster. This will need to be diagnosed by a dealership.
