New breaks are going out

Asked by GuruNWXJF Oct 17, 2019 at 09:03 AM about the 2000 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently replaced my wheel bearings and decided
on getting a the kit, however my breaks are no
longer holding pressure, and occasionally will
squeal followed by a loud pop and loss in break
pressure.  I looked over everything and even
checked for air in the system, nothing. I checked
the break lines and they were fine, no leaks that I
could see or feel. I still have some breaking power,
however I have to put it to the floor to get it. When I
got the kit, I double and tripled checked that it was
for my car, brand, year, and even size. What I
suspect is happening is that my break pads are
getting lodged against the rotor until it pops and
suddenly theres no pressure.

Possibility of the master cylinder or abs block? Might be getting stuck because of the valves aren't opening and closing to the break calipers and the break pads will stick and could make it squeal and pop.

Hmm, I haven't considered that one yet, do you know any easy way to get around the Chrysler ingenuity?
