Asked by Kenneth Oct 05, 2018 at 06:02 PM about the 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Hatchback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was just getting off an exit an got back  on the highway  started getting up to
speed in 4th gear I have a 5 speed manual an it started to make a really weird
kinda scraping sound kind then I shifted to 5th an tried to speed up an it was
just stuck at 70 even when I pushed the peddle down farther. Got onto Mosel
raids an it felt fine but kinda slower get up then it used to it seems any one
think they may know something?

This is pretty vague. Is the CEL on? Have you tuned it up and changed filters? A partially plugged up cat is a possibility.
