Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok I just bought a 99 Chrysler 300 and the heat only worked on high and then just went dead all together one day so we bought a blower motor resistor and replaced it and now the heat works and the temp controls all work but it will not turn off. The switch or faceplate works just fine i can change the temp and the setting and when I press the off button the screen  turns off but the heat stays on. Any ideas what the problem could be

Heat is still going to come out of the ducts with the blower off when the car is moving. Are you saying that the blower still has power with the system off?

could be the control panel where you switch in on and off and to control it

hi all, i've got the same problem on my 2001 chrysler 300m. the heater is turned off and the ac/heater functioning on and off. The fan switch is off, and the ac/heater switch is in the off position. As I'm driving the ac or heater switches on and off every 30-60 seconds. The temp of the air is dependent on what position the heater/ac temp switch is set to. if it's set on cold the fan are is cold and it it's st on hot, it will be hot. The is really weird also, The car has got 90k miles and this problem started after replacing the heater core.. any body got any ideas???? bob fortbragg@mcn.org for your answerss ..........
