My Lucerne is having some problems with the battery going dead when the vehicle sits for more than 24 hours. It's not the alternator because I had that thoroughly checked. Any ideas on troubleshooting

Also the gas gauge just stopped working. This was after several weeks of the battery draining while the car sits idle. I replaced the battery also to make sure it wasn't a problem with it. So the battery is new.
