99 Sebring Convertible JXI. Locked keys in trunk. Stranded and can't get inside trunk.

Asked by FAK'D Sep 14, 2014 at 10:56 PM about the 1999 Chrysler Sebring JXi Convertible FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I came to the park to play some
baseball and I'm 99 percent sure I
locked my keys in my trunk.

My back window is open because I
still need to buy a new mirror for it, so
I squeezed thru to try the trunk
release. That did not work and every
time I open the doors, am alarm goes
off for a very long time.

Did anybody have any ideas how I can
get into my trunk? It doesn't seem like
I can pull up the rear seats based on
how the convertible is built.

Any help would be very much
appreciated. Thank you for your time
and have a great day.

Ditto. You don't have a second set? I know, I know, had to ask. For future reference, I had a plain door/trunk key (without chip) made at hardware store, keep it in my wallet if locked out. Good luck.

Hey just do what i did make a chipless key and either put it in a key safe somewhere on your car or put it in your wallet
