I had the same issue with my 2006. I used a marine glue for a temporary solution but your best bet is to start shopping for a new top. Before the glue, rain was leaking into my trunk. After a substantial downpour, my (convertible) electrical system caught fire making it impossible to open the windows or use the convertible top. I found someone who replaced the burnt system but not to manufacturing specs because it would've cost more than the car was worth. He said it would be fine as long as the leak didn't reoccur. I eventually had the top replaced for $1200 & it's all good now. When you have a mechanic inspect it, have him check to see if your rain rail is in good condition. Makes no sense to replace the roof if the rain rail is about to go.I suspect the "top" issues are what led to the decision to retire the Solara.
