2001 solara clutch issues??

Asked by Richard Mar 09, 2023 at 08:03 PM about the 2001 Toyota Camry Solara SE V6 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I got into my car this morning to go
somewhere and when I started it up it was
making a rattling sound coming from the
passenger side under the hood can I put it in
gear and started to go down the road and the
rattling sound got worse so I kept going and all
of the sudden the car like jerked almost to a
stop then when I tried to put it back into gear it
acted like it was binding up and wouldn't go
forward I had to put the gas pedal to the floor to
get it to us off the road. This all started I'm
assuming about a week prior when in second
gear it would make a humming noise then the
other day on my way home it kept popping out
of third gear can anybody help me out with this

Don't drive it till you get it fixed or you may destroy the tranny if it isn't already ruined
