How do I reset my antitheft

Asked by Guru35XT7 Jun 29, 2020 at 11:20 AM about the 2012 Cadillac SRX Luxury FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just changed my motor in my 2012 Cadillac
SRX. When I go to start it all I get is a click. It
will not crank. Battery and starter are fine. I
was told it might possibly be the antitheft.
How do I reset it? It's a push button start

I would go thru and check to make sure all the grounds are good and tight. Sounds like the engine isn't grounding to the frame.

Also try locking and unlockng the doors with the key fob. Then hold the key fob next to the push/ start button while starting.
