Why does my vehicle die at random?

Asked by Evans925 Aug 18, 2020 at 09:06 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Traverse 1LT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Chevy traverse that randomly dies
when it chooses but I tested the battery, alternator,
and starter and all came back good. It gave codes
P0107 and P0106. Anyone have similar issues?

These are both MAP sensor trouble codes. The computer is seeing excessively low voltage on the MAP sensor circuit. Hope that helps! Jim

Check for disconnected vacuum lines. Disconnect the M.A.P. sensor and verify that the connectors are not corroded. Re connect and if the light is still on, get your local auto parts store to reset your OBD-11. Test drive the vehicle and see if that code comes back. If it does, you may have a bad M.A.P sensor. They are about $21 at parts geek. You should have the M.A.P. sensor voltage output tested. Worse case is that your E.C.M. could be bad. Hope this helps
