HI,, I have another question about my 2012 Cadillac Escalade

Asked by ERNIE02 Apr 18, 2013 at 12:04 PM about the 2012 Cadillac Escalade Luxury 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Very often but not always( not consistent) when I come home drive into garage and get
out leaving my keys in it I will walk away 10 to 15 feet and my doors lock, but if I open my
rear door to get my brief case and then walk away it does not lock, haven't been able to
figure it out it's kind of hit and miss.   Thanks if you can help!    ek

Sounds like something to do with a 'proximity key' they can be hit and miss like that

there's probably a jazzy-wacko solution like punch all three buttons at once, cry 'jeronimo' and order a pizza~

Guess your automatic locks don't want you leavin' your keys in the car...but not on the trunk...just an oversight, my man.

My car will not lock with nobody in the drivers seat and key in ignition, Period. Toyota made it difficult to impossible to lock your keys in your car, which is for me, good
