Why does my battery die every time it rain's?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a new battery for my car, and the first time it rained it died and the car had no
power. I charged the battery and put it back in ( in a very light rain ) and started the car. I
let the car run for a while, but when I came back out to start it a few hours later it was
dead again.

I'd check that your alternator and battery are good, then I'd look for a parasitic drain on the battery with a multimeter or a test light on the chance water is getting in and grounding out a component. --- http://www.wikihow.com/Find-a-Parasitic-Battery-Drain
