Why does my battery die every time it rain's?

I bought a new battery for my car, and the first time it rained it died and the car had no
power. I charged the battery and put it back in ( in a very light rain ) and started the car. I
let the car run for a while, but when I came back out to start it a few hours later it was
dead again.

your battery is dying very fast were you having the same issue with the old battery?...also what condition are your cables and terminals in? and also is the new battery dead ?...if it is going dead that quick you have a major draw or the new battery might be the issue or you have some major corrosion on your cables and when you charge it you making the cable have good contact at that moment ...also the battery is in the wheel well right next to the front wheel so i would check the cables first
Had a car once that when it rained, water would get in on circuits, short them and leave them wide open to start draining on the battery. Luckily it was still under warranty so the dealer fixed the improperly installed ducting that caused it. Your problem sounds similar
Check your alternator belt. Sometimes it can slip just enough that the battery drains faster than it charges. It might need to be tightened. Belt dressing helps if the belt isn't worn out. I think that I've noticed more belt slippage problems in wet conditions.
