What is coding my car to over heat

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Chevy Cruze heats up and turns off the the
a/c. It has water and the fan works. It heats
up when stop. But stays cool on the
freeway.

Is thermostat good? Cats Good? Water Pump Good? Fan not Staying on. What do you mean it heats up and the a/c turns off, explain? Otherwise Head gasket Bad, have compression check & exhaust in coolant test done to rule it out,

Looks like it was a temature censer. I change that ant the car seems to be running good now. Every ting else seem to have bin in good condition. Thanks for responding

Check coolant level sensor and check your oxygen sensor and check the fan sensor and check your your ignition switch brain box under the dash on drivers side connected to steering column
