Ignition

Asked by Bianca Feb 24, 2019 at 06:53 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2012 Chevy Cruze decides when and where it
wants to start. It will start one day and work all day
long turn off turn on the next morning won't even
turn over it picks and chooses when it does this.
I've heard that is the camshaft sensor saying the
car is already running and therefore won't start it to
it being the negative battery cable I'm at a loss and
I'm fully frustrated.

Also the radio cuts on and off at times and the key will get stuck in the ignition when it does that it start saying that the traction control needs to be tagged and then the anti-theft system comes up it's a Never Ending Story with this car

I can assure you it has nothing to do with the camshaft sensor... whoever told u that is full of it. Have you had any codes read? Im betting your gonna have CAN codes or loss of communication etc

I had the same issue but I fixed it by replacing the Positive cable and that took care the problem the problem here is the positive cable gets reel hot end that why your radio cuts on and off while you drive in than you come a complete stop than is key gets stuck that is because there`s no power coming inside the hole car that why your key stuck the but it does turn forward but that`s it nothing right okay your positive is doing all this things because the wire is hot okay. So here what you need to do get cold water is better it`ll start your car quicker again. if anybody going true the same issue and you get stranded out there get some cold water and poured the water on the red positive wire cable that will start back again.it save you from paying a Wrecker service ones your car turns back on go straight to and auto parts and replace that positive cable also have theme check the negative cable just in case I hope this help any body out there good luck and God bless you
