turns over, but will not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Is it the fuel pump, or no spark?  Ran great, and one day it just won't start?

Did you read the codes yet ? Did you pull a plug and see if there is spark when the key is turned over ? At dusk when it starts to get dark, pull a plug out and have someone turn the key over to see if you see the blue spark at the end of the plug. Check the fuel pump by waiting till there is a quiet time to listen, and then turn the key in the ignition from "Key Off" to "Key On, Engine Off" and listen for the fuel pump to hum. If you just tried this you must wait about 5-10 minutes for the pressure in the pump to go back down or you wont hear the pump "turn on". If all is working correctly then it could be the starter solenoid or the starting electrical "Dura-Spark System" (I think that's Chryslers name for it) that could be bad.
