Switch to Ecoboost

I have 2012 ford escape xlt 2.5l
I for fuel economy purposes i’d like to switch
engines and get the ecoboost engine... is it a good
idea?

I have heard little bad about the eco-boost engines. You will have to do the math as far as gas savings vs the higher cost of the eco-boost.
