Tail light works but break light doesn't

My tail light works when I unlock my car or open the door but it does not work
when I turn or use my breaks. It is the same light bulb that indicates both. I
have changed the fuse and checked the wiring to make sure everything was in
properly. I'm not sure what it could be at this point.
